Willesden Guardians' Side Plate

A side plate used by the Willesden Board of Guardians. Unlike the coarse earthenware used by workhouse inmates, the plate (Mann of Hanley's 'Delphine' range) is of good quality china decorated with a blue glaze and gilt rim.
